I. Assumption of Risk:

I understand that participation in the CBM College Career Retreat (the "Retreat"), organized by Chinese Bible Mission (the "Organizers"), involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Physical Activities: Hiking, swimming, etc. These activities may involve strenuous exertion, risk of injury, and potential exposure to the elements.
Travel: Travel to and from the Retreat location, as well as travel during the Retreat, may involve risks associated with transportation, including accidents and delays.
Accommodation: The Retreat accommodations may have potential hazards, such as structural issues, slippery surfaces, or lack of safety equipment.
Food and Dietary Restrictions: I am responsible for informing the Organizers of any allergies or dietary restrictions. I understand that the Organizers are not responsible for the preparation or handling of food by third-party vendors.
Emotional and Psychological Experiences: The Retreat may involve activities or discussions that could evoke strong emotions or psychological responses. I am responsible for my own emotional and psychological well-being.
Other Risks: Other unforeseen risks and dangers may arise that are not specifically listed here, but which are inherent in participating in a retreat setting.
I acknowledge that these risks may result in personal injury, illness, property damage, or even death. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in the Retreat, whether known or unknown to me.

II. Release of Liability:

I hereby release and forever discharge the Organizers, their officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and representatives (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) of any kind or nature whatsoever, which I now have or may hereafter have against the Released Parties, arising out of or in any way related to my participation in the Retreat, including but not limited to any negligence or other act or omission of the Released Parties.  

III. Medical Information and Responsibility:

I represent that I am in good health and am able to participate in the Retreat activities. I will immediately inform the Organizers of any medical conditions or changes in my health that may affect my participation. I am responsible for bringing and managing my own medications and for seeking medical attention if needed. I understand that the Organizers are not medical professionals and cannot provide medical advice or treatment.

IV. Photographic and Video Release:

I understand that photographs and/or video recordings may be taken during the Retreat. I hereby grant the Organizers permission to use my image and likeness in such photographs and videos for promotional or other purposes without further consent or compensation.

V. Indemnification:

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way related to my participation in the Retreat, including but not limited to any claims brought by third parties as a result of my actions or omissions.

VI. Governing Law:

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California.

VII. Severability:

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

VIII. Entire Agreement:

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
